Shannon Tweed was a sex columnist for the online magazine Salon.com. On September 26, 2011, Tweed was found dead in her apartment in New York City after having committed suicide by overdosing on prescription medication. Tweed was well-known for her candid and frank discussion of sex, and her writing was often controversial.
