When Avery tried to enter into puberty, she was completely baffled. Her body was changing, growing curves and becoming more womanly, but she didn't know what to do with all of this new information. She felt out of place and confused, like she was walking on eggshells and didn't know what to make of any of it. One day, Avery's best friend asked her to help her with her tampon. Avery had no idea what that was and was so embarrassed, but she agreed to help her friend. After a few minutes of trying to figure out how to put it in, Avery finally got it in and felt so proud of herself. She was finally catching up to her peers and figuring out what it meant to be a woman.
